Originally published by Fossorier, Amar & Co., Paris, 1902. This beautiful historic deck features different flowers on all the trump cards, and are based on drawings by E. Helle. The original is stored at the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. These cards are used for playing the French game of Tarot, Jeu de Tarot. This deck makes a beautiful gift!

Simple, yet elegant deck.

This deck is excellent for a reproduction of a deck from 1902. Instead of the face cards from traditional Tarot Nouveau decks, the Valets, Dames, and Rois are transferred from standard, 52-card, Parisian (spelling most likely wrong) decks plus Chevaliers drawn to conform to the other 12 face cards. The excuse looks akin to an American joker. Though I prefer more modern looking decks with more colors, this simple, yet elegant looking deck suits its purpose - game play!

Our cards travel a great distance to get to us (we get them directly from the European manufacturers), and during transit, some of the tuck boxes experience some damage. This does not normally damage the cards inside, however. While we do try to get replacement boxes for the cards, they are not always available, or the manufacturer simply does not provide them. Some manufacturers feel that the tuck boxes only serve for labeling purposes and for protection of the cards. "If the cards inside are undamaged," they say, "then the box has done its job." In other words, you are paying for the cards, not the package.

Even though the manufacturers may feel that way, we normally put decks with damaged boxes aside and send out only the items that are in the best condition. During this clearance sale, as quantities of items dwindle, the items with damaged boxes will finally be shipped out. Since the items in this sale are on clearance, all sales are FINAL, so please understand that we cannot accept returns for damaged boxes.
