TaroBear's Lair had its start in the mind of its founder, Gary Brunger, who, after years of playing the French game of Tarot online with the screen name "TaroBear", decided he would attempt to help spread this game and others like it throughout North America.  On a local level he did this by starting his own club, the North East Ohio Tarot Players (now expanded as The Cleveland Card Game Players), and on a national level, he felt it important to import large quantities of the cards used for these games so that he could offer them to the American Tarot-playing community at a much more affordable cost than they would get ordering one or two decks from overseas.

 

The store has expanded to include not only Playing Tarots, but also Tarot cards for reading and meditation, non-Tarot oracle cards, and European regional playing cards.

 

It is the goal of TaroBear's Lair to be THE place to go for imported, hard-to-find, card decks of all types.
